Wednesday! Down with the sickness.

It’s wednesday, right?

Well, that cold I thought I was getting finally got me :( I think it’s the germy gym. Ick.

Yesterday: Oatmeal breakfast, with 1 tbsp peanut butter.

Lunch: i dont remember I think it was a wrap, lol

Had to go sign the lease with the new landlord. I of course was an hour early so I just walked around the neighbourhood. I could NOT for the life of me find any food to eat.

Settled on a bag of doritos! They were delicious, but 410 calories. The hour walk helped shave some of that off. But not a good choice!

After that I headed home and had a quick snack before I met my husband at the gym

Straight turkey breast. I didn't really have anything else ready to go, and I felt bad about the doritos. So this wasn't so bad. You should have a bit more carbs pre-workout though for energy!

This is how I'm looking lately.

Excuse the hat hair, but I am definitely looking smaller/toned. Belly is much flatter. No move on the scale but I can see the difference.

Worked out for 1.5 hours.

18 minutes elliptical warm up

7 minutes treadmill HIIT

That’s where I  started to feel my cold really coming on :( I started to get tired/phlegm-y so I had to stop my run short.

My husband was with a trainer so I still wanted to wait with him, so I did a few body weight exercises, weights, then just stuck to low level cardio.

I did some dips, bicep curls, shoulder presses, crunches on a stability ball.

Tried to do a plank, made to 40-something seconds.

Walked on the treadmill at a higher incline at 3.5 mph for 15 minutes, and biked on the recumbent bicycle for another 15. Trying hard not too push myself too hard.

Stretched and we walked to pho.

Rare beef. A-thank-you.

Today!
I felt crap when I woke up.
Ate crap too!

I skipped lunch at work, left early and ended up eating Chinese food, then napping for 4 hours.

And here I am. Sniffling, groggy, hungry again. BAH!

Grumble grumble. but I’ll leave this on a positive note. Yesterday I posted a picture of the BUTTBLASTER machine at the gym, well at another location I found:

Decisions, decisions!

Decisions, decisions!

Less blogging, more Facebooking!

I’m really having trouble making time to make any worthwhile posts. Sorry! Life and stuff! Y’know how the “holidays” go!

I’ve been posting more frequently on the Facebook page, and I think for the time being I’m going to keep it that way. I’ll save the blog for when I have the time or need to make a significant post!

So please, if you don’t follow me already, check me out on facebook! Click the link below! You’ll only get cooler by doing it.

Salad a Day Challenge – Day 5

Salad is for lunch today! I never have them when I’m at work, because “lunch” there is usually at 9:30 am, and no matter how hard I try my body will not accept leafy anything at that time.

IT WAS TASTY!

The salad:

2 cups mixed greens, 1 garden burger, 20g extra sharp white cheddar, cucumber, tomato, 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds. Served with 1 tbsp honey dijon dressing.

And a straight up ice coffee.

366 calories.

This is my first veggie burger in a really long time and I really enjoyed it!!

2 more days to go, how’s everyone doing?

Observations – 200th post

1: Adrianne said she really liked my observations, and I’ve been slacking lately, so I post one!

2: Do people make really bad Rocky jokes about you?

I’m SO sorry if they do.

2: I’m sick of spiderwebs. There are so many around the house from the garden outside, I keep walking into them face first. I carry a wooden spoon in my purse now and wave it in front of me as I leave the house. Looks like I’m some crazy lady casting spells on the garden.

This morning there was one basically IN the door way. Did I mention I’m incredibly afraid of spiders?

3: God I love coffee. I went to Starbucks and ordered a Venti Ice Coffee without sweetener, but the cute coffee dude looked me right in the eyes and I panicked and stumbled over my words saying something about Iced Tea. Then when I waited I tried to look at my phone like I was busy and hope he’d forget about how embarrassingly cool I am.

4: On the walk to work there is a VERY AGGRESSIVE seagull on one of the roofs along the way. It’s obviously protecting it’s babies, but one day I may lose my eyes.

5: I walk through a semi-sketchy area to get to work, but it’s the most sketchieriest (it’s a real word. in my brain anyway) at 5:00 am when I’m walking. Both Taxis AND Johns slow down, not sure if they should pick me up or not. I dunno how chunky girl in yoga pants/hoodie and backpack can be mistaken for prostitute, but whatever.

6: Today I wore a Godzilla t-shirt, neon pink sunglasses, neon orange shoes, and my studded purse. Never been one to blend in the background, lol.

7: I am really enjoying the 30 day shred now. The first 2 days were painful, but your body really does adjust. Not as sore as I was, and I feel stronger. I can even do more pushups!

8: I miss all of the crazy people at the gym. They make me feel so normal. The gym reopens on Tuesday, thankfully. I can’t wait to see Mean Lady, The Terminator, Uncle Phil, Horse Lady, Scary Prison dude, and whoever else I’ve named because I’m a TERRIBLE PERSON. And one day I will fall off the treadmill while they’re all in the room for all my bad karma.

BTW this is my 200th post. Thanks Adrianne!

Whata day

Well my day went in a random direction today!

We were walking to the grocery store, when we randomly decided to skip that and walk the 6.5 miles to a part of town where our favorite noodle place is.

Noodle Box!

The walk took two hours, burned over 700 calories. Ate 3/4 of my THOUSAND CALORIE noodle bowl, jeeze!

Totally worth the torture!!

I probably should have calculated it before I ordered it, but I was ravenous and dazed from the sun and walk. ;)

Sooo delicious. Had a nap as soon as we got home via bus. Our feet were swollen and sore.

Its dinner time now and i’m still full, so I think if I get hungry in a bit I’ll just nibble on something small.

My Easter dinner is tomorrow! DUN DUN DUN! Let’s hope I do well tomorrow!

Would you walk 6.5 miles for noodles?

Welcome!

Hey there,

It’s me. L. Trying hard to not be fat. I’ve been thin before, but due my amazing amount of laziness, I’m back where I started plus more!

So I’ve finally decided to smarten up, and try this for serious now. For serious!

Now, I’ve already been at this about a week, but I thought blogging about it might help, plus I’m fucking awesome and who doesn’t want to read my ramblings? (Most people, lol)

A little background info to please you:

I am 25 years old (seriously old just HITS you one day, maybe that’s because of that fat but whatever)

I am 5′ 4″(and a half).

I started out at 211lbs. I’m at 205 as of earlier today at the gym.

I am not following any specific “plan” or gimmick, because that’s not realistic. I need something I can maintain.
So I am restricting my calories and exercising. (whee!)

I am using SparkPeople to track my calories and workouts.

Also this android app called “endomondo” that tracks me via GPS if I’m walking outside or any other exercise outside. Maybe I’ll run one day, but that’s highly unlikely.

I will be posting progress photos and measurements, as soon as I can find my tape measure.

Also! I am working out with my best friend. She’s in the same boat I am, and so far it’s been the most successful I’ve been so far.

Now, I know they say it’s better if you buddy up with someone, but I really believe it’s WHO you buddy up with.

I have someone that’ll keep me accountable and call me on my shit. And it keeps it a bit competitive. I don’t want to look like the dumbass who didn’t lose anything while the other is a skinny-b! Talk about motivation!

Until then!
