SO. My school meeting was interesting. The guy was obviously at the end of his work day (at the start of a long weekend) and not very interested in helping me.
He wasn’t really listening and his body language was very obvious. Face palming and hands through hair and stretching, *sigh*. He didn’t really answer my questions, nor did he really seem to want to help me. I chose VCC to do my highschool upgrading because it’s a good well known school. A few of the other places I’ve looked up online have those fake looking flash websites that just scream sketch-town. But after this experience I think I’m going to go through the Vancouver School Board and do upgrading through their schools. They even offer online classes which will help!
I came prepared too. I had everything listed out from the two schools I wish to attend, and I just needed clarification on which courses I needed to upgrade, and which I could just take proficiency tests for, but nope!
I think I’ve pretty much figured it out, but I’ve asked my brother to help me out. I sent him my highschool transcript and this tl;dr (too long, didn’t read!) list of info.
So far it looks like I need to upgrade:
- Math 11 & 12
- Chem 11 & 12
- and English 12. (ish, I can take a test instead but it’s been 8 years since highschool. You’ve seen how I write here. I can’t write an essay.)
After that fiasco, I went down to the mall to meet the hubsteronz and grab some sushi.
I ate SO well yesterday, my calories were just under the limit yesterday. I think the nervousness of talking to someone helped. That combined with a lot of walking, was a great diet day.
I haven’t had lunch yet, but the husbando man is off at the dentist, and I plan on meeting him up there. We’ll go for soup or sushi. Who knows what’ll happen!
And now, for a progress pic.
Now, to leave the house!
